Why We Chose To Continue The Ballet North Journey



Ballet North has been part of the local dance community since 2012, and after teaching at the school for several years, taking over the business in 2020 felt like a natural next step for us.

We had already built strong relationships with the children and families attending the school, and we cared deeply about creating a space where young dancers could grow not only in technique, but also in confidence and self-expression.

What inspired us most was the opportunity to develop a more creative and inclusive approach to ballet education. We wanted children to enjoy movement, storytelling, imagination, and individuality alongside structured ballet training.

Rather than focusing purely on appearance or perfection, we focus on how dancing feels for each child. That mindset continues to shape everything we do today.
